View Search for Backcountry Skier on Mt. San Jacinto in a larger map
Riverside County Sheriff requested additional resources to search for a missing backcountry skier on Mt. San Jacinto. The Cave Team responded, and team members were placed on three different teams. The recent snow made travel very strenuous, making skis a viable option for travel. Fortunately, the skier was located in the Willow Creek drainage by a team from Kern County’s China Lake Rescue Group.
